The Anna Dean Farm Market is a project of the non-profit Barberton Historical Society in Barberton, Ohio.
The Anna Dean Farm Market founded in 2015 is located at the historic O. C. Barber Piggery at 248 Robinson Ave. in Barberton. Built of brick and block in the Renaissance Revival Architectural Style in 1912, the Piggery, or Pig Palace, as it was commonly called is on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Barberton Historical Society dedicates its funds raised for this and other historic buildings it owns in Barberton.
In 2015 we began our Farmers’ Market with 24 vendors. In 2016 it is our goal to build the number of vendors to forty. Here are some FAQs on the Anna Dean Farm Market.
COST TO VENDORS – There is no cost to setup and sell at the market. Only your time. However we ask that you stay with us for the entire season, or notify us if you are quitting so we can give your space to someone else.

This is a concert rescheduled from June 27, 2018. All background computer music is sequenced by Bruce Nehlen. Starting the party, Mr. Nehlen has a huge song list playing anything from Funk, R&B, Disco, 70s, 80s 90s pop hits, standards, oldies etc. He produces his own backing arrangements that gives that big show band sound.

What happens when teenage accordion players aren't allowed in marching band? They start a polka band. That's the story of Jake Kouwe. Teens Dan O'brien, Dan Sutts, Paul Coates, Mike Lewis, Cody Garret & Jake Kouwe launched "The Chardon High School Polka Band" almost nine years ago in Chardon High School. Long hair, torn up jeans, chuck taylors, and a blue mohawk are probably the last traits people expect to see on members of a polka band, but such things were commonplace. This off-the-wall teenage polka band quickly made a name for themselves playing for their peers & local nursing home residents. The group expanded quickly & started booked jobs at venues and events across northeast Ohio. From their humble beginnings as high schoolers going against the grain playing polkas instead of punk rock, the Chardon Polka Band has evolved into one of Northeast Ohio's most recognizable acts. The band continues to redefine & breathe new life into the genre as they spread their own form of polka.
