Safety Director

The Safety Director is the head of the Department of Public Safety and is appointed by the Mayor. According to the City Charter, the Safety Director is the supervising authority responsible for the Police and Fire Divisions, as well as, the Paint/Signal Division. Within these divisions, the Safety Director is charged with the duty of enforcing all police, health, safety and sanitary regulations that may be prescribed by ordinances and rules of the city or the general laws of the State of Ohio.
