Robert and Deborah Carothers began singing together when they met in 1978. In the late 70s Robert Carothers, along with his brothers, performed as the touring band of internationally-acclaimed singer/songwriter Melanie ("Brand New Key", "Look What They've Done to My Song") of Woodstock fame. He has a Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music where he graduated with honors. He was handed his Berklee diploma by George Martin, producer of the Beatles. In 2008 Deborah Carothers was named by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum as one of the Top Ten Professional Women Who Rock in Northeast Ohio. She is also an attorney.
