  • Clerk of Courts:  DEPUTY CLERK FULL-TIME CASHIER

The Barberton Municipal Court Clerk of Court’s office is seeking a full-time, high integrity, self-directed Deputy Clerk to provide exceptional customer service and administrative support to the public, law enforcement, attorneys and staff at the court.  The position requires use of a case management system, processing monetary transactions, and having direct contact with customers of the court.  This position is at-will and serves at the appointment and discretion of the elected Clerk.  

Qualifications Training and Experience

The ideal applicant will have the ability to communicate and work well with others in a diverse, fast-paced environment, have excellent attention to detail, and good organizational skills.  Applicants must be comfortable engaging with the public and be able to learn and retain information quickly.  Proficiency with computer applications and word processing is required.  Previous experience in customer service, clerical, and/or cashier positions and experience in data entry is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required, in addition to basic arithmetic and business math skills.  Candidates must possess honesty and integrity of the highest standard and be able to maintain confidentiality in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations. 

Salary and Benefits

Starting rate of pay is $15.00 per hour with salary advancement potential dependent on experience.  Excellent medical benefits, participation in Flexible Saving Accounts, and Deferred Compensation Retirement Accounts are available.  The position pays into the Ohio Public Employee’s Retirement System.  (OPERS).

  • Inspector-Property Maintenance Resume Civil Service Examination

The City of Barberton is accepting resumes for an Inspector-Property Maintenance position. Inspector-PM conducts field inspections in order to ensure compliance with building and zoning codes. Starting salary: $22.26 per hour.

 

Minimum Qualifications: General working knowledge of building construction systems both residential and commercial preferred. High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required. Must possess and maintain a valid Ohio Driver’s License and must be insurable under the City’s insurance policy.
