  1. Project DAWN Deaths Avoided With Naloxone - Get a Kit Save a Life!

    Project DAWN is a community-based drug overdose prevention and education project. Naloxone (also known as Narcan) is a medication that can reverse an overdose that is caused by an opioid drug. When administered during an overdose, Naloxone blocks the effects of opioids on the brain and restores breathing within two to eight minutes. Naloxone Kits will be provided every Thursday from 11AM - 2PM.

  2. CDBG Pre-Application Workshop

    The City of Barberton is seeking applicants for the 2020 project cycle for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. On Friday, November 22, 2019 the City of Barberton will hold a mandatory pre-application workshop on for organizations interested in applying for CDBG funding for the year of 2020. The session will be held at 10:00 AM in the Arts & Crafts Room of the Active Adult Center located at 500 W. Hopocan Ave. The workshop will cover details of the application process, eligibility, compliance requirements, and provide an overview of the CDBG grant program. Activities must benefit low-moderate income people, aid in the prevention of slum or blight, or meet an urgent community need such as disaster relief.
