NFL Player John Cominsky Hosts Barberton Youth Football Camp

We were thrilled to have Detroit Lions defensive lineman and Barberton High School graduate John Cominsky back in Barberton for his free youth football camp! Cominsky, along with Barberton High School coaching staff and football players, spent time teaching students about football drills – but most importantly, they learned about teamwork and good sportsmanship.

Cominsky is a 2014 Barberton graduate and currently plays for the Detroit Lions. He is inspired by giving back to his community and showing young Barberton students that they can achieve their dreams, just like he did.

He said, “So to inspire kids, that’s a lot of what drives me. Obviously, I do it for my family and my faith, but these kids, they come out here, and they’re inspired, they’re excited and they believe that maybe it’s a possibility for them, too, or just [an example of how they can] achieve their dreams.”

We are incredibly thankful that Cominsky continues to give back to Barberton. He is an inspiration to us all!
