Barberton History: Diamond Match Company

Check out these awesome photos of the Diamond Match Company. Founded by O.C. Barber, he decided to relocate his match factory from Akron to Barberton in 1894. This started a boom period of growth and development in the fledgling community, resulting in the town’s nickname of the “Magic City.” Thanks to Barberton Historical Society for this cool piece of Barberton history!
