The City of Barberton is pleased to announce that this year’s Street Resurfacing Program is set to commence mid-summer. Barbicas Construction Company was selected by a sealed public bid to perform the asphalt resurfacing portion of the program.
This year’s program focuses on the resurfacing of residential streets. Several variables were considered during the street selection. Recommendations from Council representatives, residents, staff and the City’s engineering consultant, GPD Group, were all considered.
Areas included in the 2025 Asphalt Resurfacing Program:
- Way (Newton to Crawford)
- Lambert St (Waterloo to end of R/W)
- St. Clair (Hiram to Evergreen)
- State St (Hiram to Bridge)
- Grand Blvd (Dunn Ave to corp limit)
- E Baird Ave (5th St NE to 7th St. NE)
- E Lake Ave (5th St NE to 7th St. NE)
- E Park Ave (3rd St NE to 5th St NE)
- 2nd St. NE (N Van Buren to Cassell Ave)
- Himelreigh (Fairland Rd to Miller St)
- N Azalea Blvd (Walter to Wisteria Dr)
- Yale Ave (Norton Ave to W Summit St)
- Louise Ct (Wooster Rd North to the dead-end)
- 5th St NW (W Hopocan Ave to Norton Ave)
- Oak Ave (21st St NW to 28th St NW)
- Waltz Dr (Wooster Rd West to Ettle Dr)
