2-20-2026 Update
ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE – STRATFORD WATERLINE PROJECT
 
Kenmore Construction will be closing 31st Street SW at the intersection of Stratford St and Waltz Dr on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, for approximately four days to complete necessary work for the Stratford Waterline Project. No traffic will be able to pass through the intersection during this period.
 
Detour signage will be posted in advance in accordance with the MOT to guide drivers around the closure. Although the work is scheduled for this date, it may be adjusted if field conditions require it; however, the closure is still expected to move forward. Please see the detour maps below.
 
Please plan your travel accordingly and use caution when driving near the construction zone.
2-11-26 Update

The new 8″ HDPE water main has been installed from 31st to 25th St SW. The boring crew expects to complete the remaining pipe installation by Friday, February 13, 2026. Once the full main is in place, crews will begin tying in the side streets. Testing of the new water main and associated services will follow.
