Barberton Parks & Recreation
The Parks and Recreation Department puts on year-round programming, events and activities for the Barberton community’s well-being and enjoyment. The Parks and Recreation’s Active Adult Center is located inside the same building as the YMCA at 500 W. Hopocan Ave. The Active Adult Center has year-round programming for the members of the center ages 50 and older. This includes exercise classes, euchre, bingo, pool, bus trips, monthly movie, special events and so much more.
Our Mission
The mission of the Barberton Parks and Recreation Department is to impact the personal, social and economic well-being of the citizens of Barberton and surrounding communities by providing safe, attractive and affordable parks and facilities, promoting positive recreational programming for the people of all ages and implementing programs to aid in the development of the community’s young people.
