Special Events Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY: This is a Classified, Non-Exempt position. Applicant is primarily responsible for planning and implementing Youth and Adult Programs and Special Events, overseeing employees, conducting employee trainings, and assigns work as needed. Reports to Director of Parks and Recreation. Salary Range $46,030.92 – 52,655.09
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Park and Recreation Administration, Recreation Administration, Park Management, Physical Education, Education, Communications, Public Relations or related college degree is highly desirable. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a park and recreation field in a professional capacity or equivalent.

Engineer
The City of Barberton is now accepting resumes for the position of Engineer. This classified position reports directly to the Director of Public Service. This is a responsible technical and administrative position consisting of directing the activities of the Engineering Division of the Department of Public Service, the development and supervision of public works projects and supervision of all operations and activities of the City Engineer’s office.
The ideal candidate shall have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering plus considerable experience in the practice of civil engineering, including experience in municipal engineering. Knowledge of principles and practices of civil engineering and surveying as applied to the development, construction and maintenance of Engineering projects; the public work interrelationships of subdivisions, utilities and street systems, storm water; the principles and practices of public works administration.
2026 Pay Range: $74,886.94 – $114,395.57
